Well it would appear that the same sources feeding the media have again been busy...

Just like Everton "stupidly" selling Rooney...

Firstly, will Glazier allow Taggart to spend that much on Gerrard? Will the bank give Glazier another 30 million? Would Liverpool allow him to go to United? Does Man U have enough cash to compete with the likes of Real and Chelski for his signature?

No one player is bigger than the club. Stevie was not the player this year that he was last year. He is brilliant at times, yes... but he was very inconsistent this year... sometimes because of injuries, and sometimes he just didn't look interested.

Benitez got Alonso for £10m, so if selling Gerrard means we can get 3 more players of that quality, I say sell him now. Plus we've seen how badly he can play when he's thinking about his wallet and trophy cabinet rather than playing for the pride of his red shirt.

But really, I believe it comes down to one thing... if he really loves the club as he says, he'll stay... if he doesn't, he should go. If he is not 100% comitted to the club and focused on what is best for the club, then he needs to be sold. The more players we can get with an attitude like Carragher, the better.

Chelsea make record bid for Gerrard reports
Tue Jul 5, 2005 2:13 AM BST LONDON (Reuters) - Chelsea have made a British record 32 million pounds...
