latter,
Why would you opt for the latter?
Prioritiesin all in have We've We seem to have been collecting more yellows in recent games but acknowledged, we're still near the top of the fair...
GerrardSimon Do you even know what "Cultural" means? Shared values, or shared heritage ect... It doesn't mean just living in the same house or having the same parents you f***ing numskull...
If players' wages across the board were lower, the same players would still play: who wouldn't rather kick a ball for a living than, say, well pretty much most other *jobs*. Supply and demand is not a law, it's an effect caused by mixing money with stupidity.
A match for me averages out at about £30. For that I get to see the game, fair enough. I also get a seat which is too small (I am your basic 5'10 12st bloke), a 10 minute queue for vastly overpriced poor quality refreshments, etc., etc., So, most of that £30 goes on paying the players to kick a ball around fairly innefectively for the most part, meanwhile the ground and facilities are left to rot until the club can either afford the payments on a very long-term mortgage or get outside funding.
Never mind the tv and sponsorship money, 40000*30*19 = about £23 million, yet my club is holding out its begging bowl to supporters to cough up £500K to pay for a collection of club memorabilia. I reckon that equates to the players giving up a week's wages for the benefit of the club. The players are mercenaries with no love of the game, or any idea what *club* means.
