Chances at a premium

I don't think we really clicked into gear until the 2nd half, They could have had 2 goals in what was a very scrappy 1st half. It was a well taken strike by Fowler and will give Rafa more reasons to offer him at least another year.

I was a bit concerned at the lack of clear cut chances that we created, and they really need to teach Crouch how to get some power into his headers.

Bolton have a pretty well organised back four in Hunt, Ben Haim, N'Gotty and Gardiner.

Chelsea have a better defence (especially Terry)that we have yet to breach this season, so the FA Cup semi is going to be a very tight affair.

We really need to step it up a notch, and not get blinded by our 20 previous goals in 4 against weaker opponents.

With Fowler cup tied I would like to see

I think agro Agger has the speed and a better defensive brain than Riise or Warnock, and would fit well into a left back role. Gerrard would cause trouble on the right, Cisse offered little there against Bolton and Garcia is too light weight against Chelsea (yeah I know his CL semi final goal)

Kewell playing off Crouch would be a better option than Moreintes or Cisse.

We need to play very well to beat them, but we can do it.
