Seems that Liverpools late addition could mean a loss of £20 million (5mil each) to Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and Everton so maybe the outward support...

Sorry, the two points were not meant to be so closely related.

What I meant was, I would be surprised if civil law did not decide that all have the right to discuss other employment regardless of already being in contract ,whatever the Football League might wish. It makes no sense otherwise. Contracts do run to an end and they can be mutually curtailed. Discussing your future is a right. The clubs say you are not allowed to do it unless the club holding the contract agrees. Executive headhunters have no problem with this in the business world where secret "tapping up" is not illegal. So, if a test case from Cole was, as expected, decided in his favour and the fine considered illegal, maybe it will lead to contracts being more than just a wage and perk agreement. Right now the contact has no meaning. It can be broken by a player just by saying he wants to move. Tapping up mid contract would disappear if the contract was truly binding for the agreed term.

In short....for a change -))..... whilst in civil law it is not wrong to dicuss your future you can not break a contract as easily as they seem to now. I don't suggest this will be easy as the Bosnian puts a spanner in the works, but it is the way clubs will have to go. Maybe a deferred wage structure? Mbuttive compensation clauses written in as standard?

It seems things will get more chaotic with more rich agents if they don't.
