Reds striker Djibril Cisse is to be quizzed by the police following allegations that he buttaulted a teenage boy when he poked fun at him about Liverpool Football Club.
The 15-year-old claims that Cisse hit him around his head at a park in the Docklands area of east London on Friday night after the player had taken part in filming a commercial for adidas.
"I went up to Cisse after the match and went to shake his hand but then pulled my hand away as a joke and put my thumb on my nose and wiggled my fingers," said the prankster.
"I'm an Arsenal fan and don't like Liverpool but he didn't see the funny side and lunged towards me. He hit me hard on the side of my head. I was stunned and backed away from him. But he grabbed me and hit me again - again very hard in the face.
"Two of his bodyguards dragged me away and I heard him say 'come on, I want to fight you'. Another two bodyguards dragged him away and bundled him into his car.
"I was terrified that he'd come back. As I walked away my head was throbbing and buzzing and it hurt. I had red marks on my face and on my ear.
"I definitely want to take it further - he can't be allowed to get away with what he did."
A 53-year-old man who claimed to be at the scene is quoted as saying: "We heard there was going to be an advert made for adidas in the local park.
"It was all the local boys were talking about on their way home from school. After the game, all the boys were trying to get the players' autographs.
"Cisse was signing autographs and seemed quite happy to do so. Then all of a sudden he just erupted violently.
"I saw him lashing out at Bobby, smacking him forcefully around the face. He then grabbed him by the neck and belted him in the face again. He then grabbed him by the ear and hit him again.

"I thought he was going to kill him. I told him to get off. I started shouting and swearing to put Cisse off. I really got annoyed.
"It was not just a clip. He was being fully forceful. The poor kid had nobody to back him up and look terrified.
"Cisse was far bigger than him and really quite well built. His minders grabbed him and pulled him away but he was still shouting and spoiling for a fight. He reminded me of Cantona when he attacked that fan.
"Afterwards the boy was really shaken. His face was all red and lumpy. My boys are Liverpool fans but Cisse is no hero."
Scotland Yard confirmed that they received a complaint of buttault.
A police spokesman said: "We were called just before 7pm on September 30 to Broomfield Street in Docklands after an alleged buttault by a man on a 15-year-old boy. It is alleged the boy was struck on the head. Medical aid was declined by the boy. There was no arrest."
