Top scorer last year was a midfielder, they tried 2 big strikers, didn't, hasn't worked, lone striker with nippy winger coming in, or strong m-ff through the middle works for them,
Owen, Defoe, Johnson to an extent, Ian Wright, we need an opposite to our big 3 as an option, as Rafa seems to like options, it is an area we are lacking in, Cisse can hold the ball up & lay off.... but it is now going to be a lay off to a m-f coming in looking for it rather than it being a natural nippy (poacher - Owen was never a nautural poacher though)
