Liverpool takeover talk returns

I agree. Its not just frustration because he does it every game from the first minute to the last. He doesn't close defenders, chase lost ball (or even chase recoverable balls!) all which can result in more pressure being exerted on us, especially away from home.

Reina praises Carra

Heres somewhere else where I see him being a problem. In one of the CL qualifiers he was upfront with Morientes, when we were 2 against 1 with Cisse on the left and Morientes on the right. Whoever the midfielder was could have gone either way but he went for Morientes, and because of that Cisse just stopped 30 yards from goal and stood still because he never got the ball (I think it was when Morientes hit the post). Now compare that with Arsenal who flood the box with every opportunity and often "walk" the ball into the net and create space for each other. So IF Cisse had continued his run he could been in a great position to a) receive a square ball from Morientes and tap the ball into the net, or b) capatilise on a rebound from the keeper or post.

At the very least he would have provided Morientes with a better opportunity as it would have put both the keeper and remaining defender in 2 minds and given Morientes more space. But that wasn't a one off. Watch him all the time, he is very, very selfish.

And to me, Garcia made the "correct" run yesterday, it was Cisse's timing of the pbutt that made it look bad. He also made a bad run when Sissoko took that shot.

So all in all, I don't think a) he's consistent enough, and b) a team player.
