Seems to be a lot of speculation that we have already completed the signing of the Villareal Keeper. Rumours also abound about Torres and Joaquin also from Spain but I'm sure the clubs of both of these players are demanding £20,000,000 each. Perhaps a little restrictive even with our CL final bonus funds.

Rafa has, at different times, been mentioned with his entire previous midfield at Valencia: Baraca, Albelda, Vincente and Aimar but I'm sure he has a list of specific targets he would like.

If Rafa has already signed the keeper it would appear that Dudek's days are almost over and with the signing of Carson, the same might be said about the eternally injured Kirkland. I think the Gaffer may also have ran out of Baros's seeming inability to follow his tactical instructions.

Once the 'is Stevie staying-going' saga is sorted out there are other pressing matters. IMHO we need a speedy centre half (Sami has been a fantastic servant but his legs are on the way out) and it would be nice to see an outright winger come in.

I hope and pray that the lightweight Smicer is first out of the door, if there was ever a waste of space....Kewell has had enough chances and failed to produce the form he showed consisitently at Leeds and the less said about the duff 'loanee's' Diouf, Diow, Cheyrou, Vignal etc the better. If we get £30 for the bunch of them we will have done well.

Despite their heroics in Europe this season I am hoping we can improve on the quality of Traore and Biscan while Nunez and Josemi and Pelligrino have failed to overly impress when given their chance.
