Crouch the main man

Problem with this is that we have to play with just one up front to accommodate the 5th midfielder and we don't have much choice...

It was a clear foul and Crouch cheated to score the goal. Where is the debate? The goal should not have stood, and who knows, T&T might have got the point. For all England's "great" players, they are playing very poor.

Leo Beenhakker explained how easy it was to frustrate England after the match. Only by pulling Sancho's hair and cheating did England finally score.

It might be worth, against Sweden, dropping Beckham and Lampard. Play Carrick in the holding role and set Gerrard free, put Lennon on the right as a wide right player, rather than Beckham playing right and trying to come inside all the time as the guys in the studio highlighted after the match.

Put Rooney up front with Owen, your best strikers (although both still looking for fitness and form), and give Walcott a run out too (otherwise why bring him? if Sven doesn't trust him then he shouldn't have been brought). By dropping Crouch you remove the big punt option and force your players to play football on the deck. By dropping Beckham you also shorten the game down (not that a good long pbutt isn't useful at times) and should keep possession better.

Beckham, Lampard and Gerrard are all great players but a bit too similar to play all 3. You need players like Joe Cole who have a bit of magic, can dribble with the ball, which none of the other 3 can.
