If you were to write this in a newspaper you would have a libel suit on you so quickly that you truly would be 'John Shocked'. There is no evidence that the match was fixed except one incorrect decision from a human being (we do make mistakes you know... all of us).
Are you taking the piss? He controls subsitutions, time keeping, decides who got the last touch on a ball when it goes out, offside, gives cards to players for infringing regulations, watching incidents off the ball, etc... and most of all, keeping up with the play.
Yes, it is. But this is not something that can just be brought in without careful thought. I see you mention the US league having replays (I've no idea whether this is actually the case), but I would be interested to see how much this slows down the game for example. Also, many decisions are not black-or-white... what you think is a free kick, I may think is not. There are debates after every game about what should have been free kicks etc, so even if video replays were introduced, you would be on here arguing that the video referees were corrupt when they gave a decision you didn't agree with.

There is NOTHING in the rules of football that prevent a referee from changing his mind once he has made a decision, so your argument here is simply incorrect. I've seen it done many times.
