Never say never eh?

I don't dislike Beckham as some people here do.No. in fact over the years I've been one of the few to defend him after being kicked out of Old Trafford, and believe me I've taken a lot of flak for it. So it does come as a bit of a surprise when people feel the need to defend the Beckham's from me.

I have however never liked their life style, yes that is their business; but they are the ones that court publicity. They are the ones who sell the TV and publication right for all too see. So please do not tell me on a public News Group that no one should be commenting on the subject.

You know about twenty ears ago when I was working in Fleet Street, one of the regular casuals who'd served some time , told me how Cliff Richards of all people would put on free regular shows for the prisoners. That rather surprised me, as there was no self-publicising -not everyone's cup of tea I might add, from Cliff whatsoever.

Now it that is true it was done behind the scenes with no self conglatuary masturbating fanfare , then that is charitable work performed with dignity, grace and clbutt. Not the Red Arrows hired exclusively for a "charateeee bash" flying over the heads of the very well attended media cameramen, photographers and reporters.
