Para sempre Azul A very interesting suggestion from Blatter to decide matches at the world cup. Do away with penalties and possibly, start reducing the number of players during extra time...
It is bullpoo IMHO what they need to sort out is the bloody cheating AND the shirt pulling which pisses me off more than anything. The guy who gets up my nose more than anyone is Michelle Platini because if he gets his way he will do away with contact all together. It is a contact sport and it is going to make a fool of the game by going down this road. While penalties may not be nice for the players they can be damned entertaining.
Did you see the way the Germans took their penalties in that one game I can not remember their opponents now, and the Italians in the final.
Why reduce players, extend extra time and the fittest team should carry the day plus it would mean more football for the fans.
We should enforce a 10 minute sin bin for any player using extreme foul language to the ref or linesman, we could not get away with it in our working lives and it is a bad example. They are paid excellent wages at the top and they should behave like professionals, Rooney, Bellamy and Bower to name a few need their wings clipped. Full marks to John Toshack for the way he stood up to that other undisciplined twat Robbie Savage.
I know little about rugby league but have you seen how the ref deals with the players, I think the idea of moving a free kick further up the field for backchat is a great idea. To be honest the amount of money the fans pay to follow football, without who the game could not survive should have a number of representatives on the board to put the fan's views forward.
A mate of mine has a place on the board of a Conference South club as he formed a social club and has put a lot of work in as many do in lower league clubs. Why could this not be implemented at the top.
I would say there are things far more important that needs addressing than Blatters latest pearl of wisdom, interesting post though.
