Amazing what team loyalty can do to simple observation. You are correct. Lampard did not have a good WC, neither did Stevie G. The difference was that Lampard was accountable and always in the game, whereas SG too often went missing. His pbutting was mainly poor or predictable, but he did score a good goal on one of his very rare visits upfield.
Their individual form for England in the recent past favours Lampard by some way because Stevie has been mainly disappointing at international level owing to his inconsistency. This probably makes the captaincy no race. It is a sound idea to pick a skipper who will certainly be in the side and Terry fits the role. Stevie would love the job but I am amazed he is so confident of keeping his place under a new manager. If ever out through injury he might find it hard to get back in with people like Hargreaves and a couple of others around. Not the same with Terry. The England captain needs to have more than the ability to catch the eye with short periods of rampaging..........the typical SG style when on form. He needs far more tactical awareness and the ability to communicate, neither of which are Stevies strong points. They say he leads by example? Well, maybe that works at club level. but he has hardly been an example to anyone in the majority of his games for England has he?
No race..........Terry by miles.
We'll win it six timesste parker Correct again, I can bet another £20 or indeed another £50 which ever you prefer. However, what the bookies are offering is not irrelevant. They are offering 16-1. thats what...
