The resurrection is always a pretty convincing argument. Have you ever seen a dead person? Look up the Museum of the Dead in Mexico, a pretty macabre museum full of corpses and dead people too poor for decent burial. I think you'd have to agree it's a pretty spectacular achievement to restore such a one to life, no? Who could possibly do such a thing?

When the Acts, Letters and Gospels were written, within 30-40 years of the rest of Christ, there were plenty of people still alive who had seen Jesus in the flesh after his crucifixion. Paul tells us of 500 still alive who could bear witness to the event. Something pretty astonishing happened to get the cowardly Apostles out of their hideout and proclaiming the event?? Of course there were plenty of others around, like the Jews, who had a vested interest in "disproving" the resurrection. The fact that they couldn't speaks volumes. It would have been fairly easy for them to produce a body. They had the Roman Empire on their side too. Christianity should have died out within weeks of the rest of Christ.
