Yes, my post, outlining the findings of numerous scientists, findings which have been published in "peer-reviewed journals" and are available for immediate public inspection, my post as I say is completely stupid, incredible and irrational.

But in the context of this particular debate aren't you "forgetting" something? Aren't you forgetting that it's not up to the defenders of religion to do the reasoning? Aren't you forgetting that it's the atheists who should be doing all the reasoning, and believers who should be countering with their superstitious anachronisms? Why, if I am defending the rather ridiculous and incredible concept of the existence of God, should I provide you with a rational and coherent case for the defence? In the context of this debate reasonable arguments adducing factual and incontrovertible evidence are the exclusive preserve of the prosecution, remember? It's Le Dieu's job to do the reasoning here, not mine. His case is that religion and its adherents are irrational, so why should we invoke reason to prove him wrong? We're merely true to form whenever we put the case for the defence in such an irrational fashion. He's the one who should be flooding this thread with rational and coherent arguments for the prosecution, not us.

The fact that so far neither he nor you nor in fact anyone else has adduced a single shred of rational or factual evidence for the prosecution speaks volumes. His entire case is based on the "opinions" of an author who rather irrationally explains away the existence of God by citing the alleged and real abuses religious adherents have been guilty of. Remarkable. For one so enamoured of reason, nothing short of remarkable. We're meant to accept his philosophical premiss based on this f***ing garbage are we?
