place there won are who reason and who He How How worth
Of course Ren. Only a very prejudiced fool could deny that Pool had injury problems. Looking at some of their performances in the CL it might be fair to say they were unlucky not to get into the top 4 and qualify by right. But these are imponderables and I bet some other sides will claim that injuries have cost them dearly with or without justification. Ferguson claims that the loss of Van Nistory and Rio cost them, Venger makes similar claims and the Chelsea fans are probably convinced that they would have beaten Pool if they had their 2 first choice wingers and full backs. Depth in the squad is a part of the teams quality because injuries are inevitable. Thank god ,after 20 empty years, that Pool might be on their way back and the Prem will be all the better if they are. But this has nothing to do with the points I made. I dont think that even at their best they are yet as good as the top 3 sides in the Prem right now and even if only bad luck cost them 4th inclusion makes no more sense than including the FA cup winners back into the competition after they got dumped by Cardiff because they won it last year. When there is an understanding about what the qualifying requirements are it has to be kept to surely?
I have never doubted that Ren. although I have doubted some performances in games Pool should have won.
Tomorrow todayfrom tomorrows Telepgraph - a bit long winded but a decent article. Winter on Saturday: Spaniards simply swelled...
I still fancy them to win the final. As I have often said, we tend to over rate those top Euro sides. I just hope Benetez does not allow the side to defend too deep, Milan will be slicker in tight positions than Chelsea.
All the best,
