bonk Me gently under the desert sun!!!
So what you're finally admitting is you were even further from winning the title in 2002 than we were, and still further in 2004 and 2005, finishing as you did behind second-placed Arsenal on both occasions? If we were "that far" from winning the title in 2002, when we came second to Arsenal, and Arsenal were "that far" from winning the title in 2004 and 2005, when they came second to Chelsea, it surely follows that you, coming third on all three occasions, were even further behind and more embarrbuttingly so than any of us?? You must have been like the wheelchair olympics compared to that marathon runner you mention?? I mean, forfuxake Norman, has your brain ever engaged logically with any of this???
OT: Bernie's challenge for TedOK here's a challenge for Ted.... In the thread entitled 'HELP', Ted just posted this: 'I had no idea how psychologically damaging kicking your arse round Usenet would be to...
That's " ... one of your fellow fans' definitions ... " by the way.
But anyway, I digress. I don't see why we should fix on 5 years as a recent time frame. Why not 3 years? That seems to me a better definition of recent in footballing terms. But as it's Christmas I'm going to compromise, and settle on 4, which should satisfy both of us??
Shall we look at the relative successes and failures of Arsenal, Liverpool and ManU over the last 4 seasons then? Or have you already done that and found it not to your liking?
God help us Norman but you're incorrigible!!
You've finished in the top two just once in the last four seasons Norman. That's not raving surely???
Thanks for the laughs Norm! Even in the darkest of times it's good to know we have a prize idiot we can all laugh at to brighten things up a bit!
