Why? It is a "pressure group" that has no logical way of forming its own membership. It is a closed shop, and is "invitation only". It purports to stand for football, yet is out to increase its memberships involvement in competitions by pressure tactics. There is no place for it in football.

It can easily be disbanded. A "real" football pressure group that *does* stand for football, and not just money, could be formed to replace it.

I stand by my comment. It is out of touch with football and should be disbanded immediately.

Greece won the Euro Championships by playing consistently good football when other sides floundered.

Long story, My Dad and his family live lived in Liverpool, I was seperated when I...

That isn't a fault of Greece. It was perhaps underachievements by other sides, but as the competition rules dictated....they won it fair and square. Just like Liverpool won the CL.

No. The vast majority of the players you mentioned were *bought* by G14 teams. Their devolpment and nurturing had absolutely nothing to do with G14. G14 clubs have had relatively few successful youngsters breaking through.

Do you stop to wonder why?

Although using your "Greece" argument from earlier...neither actually deserved to be there.

That is their Chairmans decision. It is also a position that most G14 sides would relish to be in. Have you ever wondered why G14 exists? It is to preserve the position of its members. It has no wish to see any club outside of its echelons actually achieve anything.

Really sorry to break it to you all like this but
Mikel Arteta has no intention of swapping Everton for Liverpool. Damnit, he was just the sort of quality midfielder we could have done with to build our team around, we...

You haven't yet come up with a convincing argument as to why G14 exists if they actually don't want to protect their position.

Go through the G14 sides. Look at the Scandinavians, the Baltic States international football G14 wouldn't have as good a window to pick their players through. Yet *they* want financial compensation (and don't believe this guff about Charleroi - That's just a convenient excuse). It is most definitely akin to "biting the hand that feeds".
