All well and good, yes ,let me first say I think Gerrard is a bit of a twat also, for several reasons. There is little doubt that he rates himself far higher than his actual ability. His miserable persona? WTF is that all about? Being cool? G.A.F.G SG. I think he has little respect for his team-mates. He always seems to be shoving people about when celebrating, i know this is picky it may be something, it may be nothing.
WTF was he bringing up(during live interview) Dudek getting stick for his howlers "vs ManU" during CL on pitch celebrations? I couldn't tell whether he was having a pop at MAnU, Dudek or the fans-press who criticised JD. I couldn't tell why he was bringing up the subject of him recieving stick over the Carling Cup final when he reffered to fans writing him off over that game,(now vindicating himself with Istanbul) again during the CL celebrations. Both these incidents are on plenty of peoples VCR's etc. I wonder what others make of them.

I've talked to football fans who think his style of play is selfish, calculated and glory seeking.
I've met a few people who claim to know him personally, who went to school with him and are still "mates" who say he is a twat. But there is this question of "ambition" and the concept of outgrowing your surroudings, which imo is fairly natural. It's only like other stages of progress through a career, eventually you start to take for granted what you have achieved and are capable of. Your sights are set on the next rungs on the ladder, particularly when you're the sort of person who wants to go to the next World Cup and prove to everyone that you are world clbutt in the truest sense. Playing football at Anfield for LFC is no longer the magical experience it once was.
I'm not suggetsing that this is SG attitude but I wonder if it might be.
The lad is a f***ing enigma.
