Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says that he wants to concentrate on winning the Premiership title following the most turbulent week of his life. The 25-year-old midfielder signed a new deal on Friday after initially saying that he would leave Anfield.
After the 4-3 friendly win over Wrexham he said: "Hopefully I can go on and win that Premiership medal I am craving.

Gerrard decided on Tuesday to leave the Reds after contract talks with the club broke down - and on the same day Liverpool rejected a £32m bid from Chelsea for his services.
But on Wednesday, chief executive Rick Parry revealed that Gerrard had decided to stay after a dramatic change of heart.
Gerrard, who was applauded at Wrexham by fans, who also chanted his name, added: "I want to make sure I will never be in that situation because it wasn't nice, trust me.

"I know the fans have been through a lot and I'm not proud of it but I want to find my top form and deliver a trophy for them."
