Just makes the blood boil though, our overpaid players. All of them (inlcuding our lot) were truly f***ing awful. Don't think anyone player really shone. Sure there were moments when certain indivduals rose above the distinctly average. But. It was only fleeting.
I never had us down as getting further than the 2nd round, so in my eyes they did well!!!
Trouble is now, it's going to be more of the same. Beckham, should retire from international football or become a laughing stock. He must understand that he ISN'T the England team. Holding back players like Lennon and to a lesser extent SWP isn't fair. Same for either Lampard or Gerrard. It's obvious they can't play together one will have to go. On recent England display's that should be Lampard. Though I've noticed that comments attributed to Lampard, seem to imply that he sees himself above criticism. Again that just highlights the current state of out national team.
I'm going to f*** of for a while as the docu-drama about the battle of the Somme is on in a moment. Perhaps those useless poobgs shoudl watch it to see what pressure is really all about.
