A rare voice of reason. Of course you are correct. It is much easier when you have lots of cash, but your other point that the manager contributes a lot is also correct. Too easy to put it all down to cash.
I have no problem with all sides being a bit envious of their spending power and it would be great if more had that sort of cash. What pisses me off is this, often seen, pretence that somehow other teams hold the moral high because they don't spend in this way when we all know that the only reason they don't is because they lack the cash. It's not a matter of some strange ethic, but they love to pretend it is. It is a childish and stupid hypocrisy.

But I think you are wrong if you imply that there is some difference, other than affordability, in buying 1-2 or 3 players but not 7-8 or 9. Every Prem side buys almost all their players. They buy what the can afford,. Right now Chelsea can afford more. One side has always been able to do this. We have to live with it.
