It remains to be seen whether we can improve on last season which was a great season and we won a lot of games... to win the premiership is a big challenge... to win all those games that we won last season again + a few more is a huge ask.
I think its too early to say "I think we've a great chance of winning the league this season" when we haven't played a match yet. Chelsea are going to be favourites again this season and I see no reason why they will not continue their excellent run of form again this season... then there's Man Utd who did just as well as us last season. Scoring goals will be as important as ever and if we improve in that dept this season with Bellamy + more goals from Crouch-Fowler and from midfield with Aurelio, Pennant and Gonzalez then we can do it.
If we don't improve our goal scoring then it'll be another season where we're behind Chelsea. We need to gel as a unit to play free flowing football that creates plenty of chances in order to improve on last season. We were pretty good last season but those games where we played Morientes and Cisse that we were unable to win and the games where Crouch went on a drought have to be won this season and thats a BIG ask.

I have seen no evidence so far to suggest we have a great chance of winning the league this season its too early to say we need the goals the bit of luck and everything that goes with it to pull it off. We have a chance of winning it because we have good players but doing it and talking about it are 2 different things. Where's that little magic going to come from that we need that turns a top 4 side into champions. I see no evidence to suggest we have it but we are a very good side that will have another good season. I hope the addition of Belamy, Pennant, Aurelio & Gonzalez will turn out to be great signings that really step us up that extra 10% that create us even more great chances and goals this season but I wouldn't bet a lot of money on it at this stage it has to be proven on the field.
