Terry... Simply the best
Chelsea booked their place in the last four of the FA Cup with victory over Newcastle at Stamford Bridge. Captain John Terry scored the...

it was about time gerrard had a great game, for a player of his ability he's been off colour a little lately imho.(prior to these goalrush games).

Perhaps the return of sissoko aided his standout brilliance. i thought sissoko was in good form as well, his wack in the eye appears to have improved his ability to find his team mates more often, maybe his cornea has been straightened by the benfica boot. the thing with the MF 3 of XA,MS and SG is where and how to play them. XA does the defensive bit, MS does the breaking up "destroyer" bit, both feed into gerrard who can split the defence apart any which way you like.

you have to give mbuttive kudos to rafa who is developing such a flexible and tactically aware team (until the next defeat arrives!), the NUFC game really set tongues wagging and imho put bruce on a hiding to nothing last night cos he didn't know how rafa was going to play it. as houllier once said, the best gameplan in the world goes out the window when you concede in the first minute and so after the first 5 mins the outcome was never in doubt imho.

last night was mostly about brum being cack imho but goals are more than welcome if only for the fans and strikers confidence.

scoring vs the BS won't be as easy imho. but i've been wrong before!!
