View from the other sideJust a quick post to tell you another side of the story. I went along to the Liverpool- Juve game and, like everyone, enjoyed a good match...

I was a kid, too (born in 1971). Perhaps I shouldn't trust my childhood memories, but I'm sure I vaguely remember watching two of our European Cup triumphs on a cathode-ray tube, complete with wooden cabinet, that almost protruded as far as my face.
Perhaps, although I submit that our numerous apologies and expressions of regret should be taken far more seriously than those of a tabloid value "newspaper" like The Sun, which only exists for one reason: To generate lots and lots of money for Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and its shareholders. That's your lot -- profit over truth, profit over people. End of story. Liverpool Football Club, on the other hand, also only exists for one reason: To satisfy its paying support base and investors, who expect no financial return, by winning silverware. In this destructive age, the game itself maybe diversionary and somewhat unimportant, but at least it is principled (or is, if we subtract the growing number of clubs that have listed -- nay, prostituted -- themselves on the stock-exchange), unlike Murdoch's many right-wing poorags that teach total depravity, and which only ever take and never give.
From TorinoGood morning guys, I hope you will accept a couple of comments from the opponents' side. First: I'm very disappointed about the behaviour of those few dickheads who turned their back to...
The Juventus supporters that disgraced their club (by turning their backs on us last night) have absolutely no right to be angry; unlike their dead, they are denied victim status because, similarly, a number of their fellow numbskulls rioted before the European Cup final at the Heysel Stadium 20 years ago. History, and the facts, will not absolve their mindless minority any more than it will our mindless minority.
Not a high horse to be had.
We have extended our hand. They need only turn around and shake it.
LFC fans whining for forgivenessTell you what mate, the whole point has gone right over their heads. I cannot believe the attitude of these people, it is very...
