King Carra for Captaincy 4375You'll regret the day you wrote this as will every other idiot who has condemned Stevie G over the last 24 hours. How ironic it...
Firstly, apologies for any repetition, I didn't want to come in here last night because I was too angry. Similarly, I haven't read a lot of the posts, because it hurts too much; so where there's repetition, sorry. Also, I'm sure a lot of fans still love Gerrard, but he has to do more in the future. He was crap, he scored his first goal for Chelsea, he hid at the back instead of leading from the front, all that stuff that's already been said I'm sure.
However, it's his love affair with Frank Lampard that pisses me off the most. For me, Lampard is more of a hate figure than Gary Neville. Lampard took out Alonzo on purpose, and tried to do it again to us last night. He's a total c*nt. Gerrard, as our captain and midfield general, should have taken it upon himself to flatten Lampard, Keane-style. Instead, when Gerrard goes down with cramp, it's his slimy little pig of a friend Lampard who's over there giving him a mbuttage. I'm sure they'll share a room together at Chelsea, and I'm sure Welsh Rugby Union style-shenanigans will be found to be going on there. Lampard and Gerrard are far too close for my liking, ever since the European Championships. I think Gerrard was lame, but it's Lampard whose cruciates I want to see decimated.
Carragher is a god, he should be our captain, he better deserves the title. Gerrard dragged us into fourth last year, virtually single-handedly, but he hasn't done it this year, he left us last summer, whether he admits it or not, and Carragher's been the man this year. I'd love to see Jamie get the captaincy, he's a real leader and a real gutsy performer. Gerrard, for all his bluster, is becoming a spice-boy style inconsistency, a throw back to Evans' team. He'd be better off at Chelsea, where Lampard could do his makeup for him. Carra's the man, and I, for one, want to see him appointed captain. Nine Carra's, one Riise and a Nando and we'd win the league! Long may Jamie reign at Anfield. My personal choice for Liverpool's greatest current player, worth two Gerrard's any day. Watch and learn Stevie, that's how to lead by example.
