You were playing the team that almost everyone was saying was the best team in Europe. In the first half they proved they were and battered you! Second half comes and you get a goal, the crowd get behind you, Gerrard starts clenching his fist and the Italians sh*t themselves. Best team in Europe maybe, but a team clearly lacking in bottle. They sit back and allow you to have the ball while they try and get their heads together, during this period you break twice and score each time. For 7 minutes you attacked, then it was your team that sh*t themselves. Had you gone on and scored again then your fight back would have been regarded as the best of all time, but a 7 minute fightback is utter b*llocks. Milan were there for the taking and you didn't have the quality-bottle to go for it. You shut up shop and played the 8-1-1 tactics that had got you to the final.
Then the best striker in Europe fluffed the best chance of the game and f*cked up his penalty, how can you not say you weren't lucky FFS?
