WTF does that mean? very few players, particuarly when you team is not as you might put it "performing" are, shall we say, continually involved, you could perhaps cite hargreaves who has "continually" involved in the last england game but was as a direct result of englan dnot being able to hold onto the ball and that means ALL the players were culpable, even the goalkeeper.

regarding the rest of your post i'd say you have to put this is the context of international football where many players "underperform" , even the so called best eg- ronaldhino, zidane, henry who have been quiet at this WC and in the case of ZZ have won little at club level of late, henry also on that count (albeit he featured in a CL final this season).
You're simply not looking at the bigger picture, imo.
