Not found any on line, think it was the Telegraph or Mirror where I read it first. It was going on about a communication problem with tactics not getting onto the pitch properly. This went on to say the lack of understanding between the players roles when changes are made to tactics within a game, substitutions and when we go a goal down or a goal up etc...(Chelsea the other week, sit back and defend for 86 mins!!)
It was just after the Southampton game that this was mentioned the first time in one of the aforementioned papers I think, we went one down real early on and then again quickly after let another one in. The rest of the game we were on the back foot and looked very, very poor. Big Communication problems...etc...etc... so it could be a valid point, dunno. That was the gist but you know how the telegraph can sometimes go on, an on, and on, and on...and on...and on....and on...and on.....
It was brought up again last week on Radio5 Live, just before the Newcastle game, I was listening on the way home from work. It was interesting to listen to those opinions of what the problem could be, but to be honest, I think its a number things at the moment. Confidence being one of them, but if the formation is right we should tactically be able to turn teams over. I do agree though 5-3-1-1 is too *European* for a team like Liverpool. If that makes sense . If not, give us a shout and I'll try to explain my thinking.
