By the way. I come from the far flung Northwest of our sceptered isle and I know loads of fans of other clubs. It is a fact (in my experience) that the majority of these fans have enjoyed pre and post match pints and banter with the scousers and if asked will tell you they would rather have a drink and a crack with us than the f***in scummers. Sadly, most of them have never met an Evertonian so cannot be subjective about them. :)
I would further venture that the two most popular sets of supporters among opposition fans are Scousers and Geordies, and for two very good reasons. Both sets of supporters know their football and both have got well developed senses of humour. The same cannot be said of the scummers and probably never could be. Their forte appears to be jealously and bile, usually towards us, which as I have pointed out before, fair warms the cockles of me old heart. Love to see em spitting tacks....funny as f***.
