Nicked it?. .....well maybe. The goal did come late. But I thought it was the best all round performance for months.

Minus points. The failure to make chances against the worst Arsenal I have seen for decades ( you are dead right) a team ripe for the dissolution. Even the penalty was a shade lucky to be given. Worse, is Raffas insistence of playing SG wide. Probably the only man in the UK who thinks it is the right spot for him.

Plus points. Plenty. Kewell does some good things and wants to be involved. Worth his place, which is a bonus after he had been written off. It's like getting a decent new player on a free transfer. Fowler played almost 90 and adds more than just the goals he will get sooner or later. Midfield and defence not really tested, but hardly put a foot wrong and quickly eliminated whatever ambition Arsenal had at the start.

No sign of fatigue, which many suspected, and played at a high tempo throughout, unlike other recent games. A good nights work.

Arsenal were missing a few players but it's no excuse for playing their most negative game since last years dreadful cup final. A top 4 is very unlikely when more confident and determined teams like Bolton, Spurs and even W Ham, Wigan and Blackburn are close behind.
