Yes you're right, what you've written is total bollocks! The 'perceived' value can be determined by anyone and of course is variable depending upon different people's perceptions, it has no relation whatsoever to the price the player is bought for, that is determnined by the negotiations between selling club and buying club.

My point is that the perceived value of Crouch by Rafa is vastly different than what most people think the lanky streak of piss is actually worth. Feel free to argue that untill you're blue in the face but you won't change my mind and if you want me to back it up I can refer you to the numerous posts by many kopites in this NG who also agreed he wasn't worth £7M

I repeat, what he pays for the player has no relation to his value. Are you thick or something, that is the basic rule of buying and selling! People pay a fee for something based upon what they think that something (or someone) is worth 'to them'.

You get more stupid with every post. Do you always adopt this stupidity whenever you lose an argument?

Look, you're obviously very stupid and are failing to grasp even the very basics in this thread. Let me spell it out for you using as many words of one syllable as I can:

Bernie The Bolt Who gives a f*** about what other people think Crouch is worth? It is *irrelevant...

Both clubs bought a number of players when the transfer window opened and shortly after. Both clubs were desperate for more signings to fill vital positions and both managers were frustrated by being unable to buy players they wanted due to high asking prices, other clubs offering more money etc. Are you with me so far?

As the transfer window drew to a close, Everton were able to fill most of their vital positions with 3 quality signings, all seasoned internationals. Liverpool attempted to do the same but failed miserably, that's why you're now a centre back and forward short.

Have you go it now thicko? As I say, you're obviously very stupid

Bernie The Bolt - 'In those days players weren't as highly paid as now, so most of us had part time jobs. Jimmy Case was a bouncer at the She Club, Tommy Smith used to open supermarkets as a Charles Bronson look-alike and Everton's Alan Ball and I were the voices of Pinky & Perky on TV.'
