Overheard after yesterday's match
Not saying I agree with this view, but I am bringing this out anyway for...

Yes it hurt like mad, especially yesterday's match, but also the way the team's been playing this season. However realistically, this is always a rebuilding season and perhaps we should have kept our expectations in check?

I don't think it's fair to slag off either Rafa or the players. Rafa can only choose from the players available to him and lets admit that he does not have a squad of who's who of football to choose from; And after he selects his team for a match, it is then up to the players to be able to "actualise" his tactics and expectations. As for the players, I do think we can fault them for their efforts either. They are trying their best, and without the right players in the right place, they are always going to be stretched.

At 10:10:25 on 03-10-2005, clings delighted uk.sport.football.clubs.liverpool by announcing: I thought we played some decent football. It's certainly a lot less defensive than under...

We all know this team is still very much a work in progress so it is not fair as yet to judge anyone by the scoreline or the team formations. The sucessful European Champions of last season had to be and were rightly demolished because we were no where near the standards required to build on our success. And since then, it's just been a huge rebuilding exercise, so let's give Rafa the support as he gets his building blocks together. What we currently lack in the team has already been discussed to the ground both by the media and the fans alike, and I do think that Rafa knows what is needed.
