Eyes on CavenaghiEurope's top clubs are rumoured to be eyeing a move for Argentinian startlet Fernando Cavenaghi. The pacy striker is currently plying his trade in Russia for Spartak...
...but what the hell took them so long? Barthez left years ago and only now fergie (no Caps required) has found a replacement.
Wes Brown? I don't think so somehow. Carragher, Upson hell even Southgate would get a look in before Brown.
Rio can read the play well and is very comfortable on the ball as he has some skill and likes to get forward. His positional awareness and concentration is very suspect and his tackling and heading is at best average. It might make Brown or Silvestre look good but it doesn't work against Terry and Campbell. Holding role anyone?
Is it just coincidence that the recent bad spell coincided with Hienze being out injured? He could challenge Cole, Sorin, Carlos et co as the best LB in the world but then so could have Riise.
Vidic auctionReds defender deal done - Wed, Dec 21 2005 09:37 "It's believed the Reds have agreed a deal for Serbian centre-back Nemanja Vidic, but Rafa Benitez is still keeping his options open." **OTOH** Spartak force...
RB is a hard position and there aren't many real quality ones around at the moment so he will have to do. He does what it says on the tin, or in his case on his back: "Kick Me Here".
...and look how good they are doing you now? They make 'Giggsy' look spry and energetic even with his walking stick. When was the last time Scholes scored? Oh. Park works hard but did you see him celebrate his goal. He knows he's not going to get another one for ages. Maybe somebody should tell him about the buses. Fletch & Smudge could give the chuckle brithers a run for thier money. They're decent players but not ones who can be relied on in a title contending team let alone buttualting Europe. A nice little cup run with the likes of Blackburn should let them paddle in the shallow end with the Savage army. Still with me...Good. As for Ronaldo, he is that point in his career where he can't break into the first team and his form is patchy. How he comes through this will determine if he is going to be a great at Old Trafford or another one of those unsettled talents that bounces around from club to club. Whether fergie sticks around will be decisive factor.
Gravesen would be perfect to fill Keane's boots but Viera's at Highbury would fit him just as well. It should be a direct race between fergie and wenger in the January sales unless a dark horse comes to rescue the ugly princess from Castilla Bernabeu.

Service. One simple 7 letter word with monumental impact and berevity. A bit like Consistency. Put the two together and phone every football manager in the world.
I bet he wants to leave sooner rather than later. What odds on Hitzfield as manager next year? My money is on Bruce Arena ;o)
Yep, Glazer made damn sure of that.
But he only won the one that he really really really wanted once and the big boys wont let him sit at the big table any more. Awww.

Larest? Yep. Must be a mancunian term.
...until Abramovic swoops in with a rescue package for the Wembley Stadium project, foots the bill to scrap it and rebuild it properly with a 100,000 capacity. Then he can pay the local council to twin Wembley with Chelsea and groundshare with Wimbledon.

They might have been at some point throughout human history but some old men who call themselves the G8 are sitting in room smoking cigars and debating why they shouldn't swap the first English team to get knocked out of the Champions League with Chelsea. Ohh...
As some wise old man who was no doubt sitting in a tree at the time pointed out: "Ignorance is bliss".
