Striking the Right NoteCommentary By Daniel Bergenn: AMIDST all the euphoria and excitement about our Liverpool team these days, I have noticed a strange occurrence. Perhaps it exemplifies who our manager would like his team to be...
Joey Jones running like a f***ing lunatic towards the Liverpool fans and jumping into the crowd. What a night ! How could we ever beat that? 15 y-o with me dad, who had tears running down his face. Never seen the man cry before or since. £55 quid for the match ticket including return train fair from Lime street. The other 3 European cups never even come close to matching that magical night. I spent 28 years telling anyone who would listen that you can never beat the first time you win it. Then comes 25th May. Well what can you say? What a night !!!! If I sat down and spent 5 years designing a perfect game, I could not have come close. So the question is: can we ever beat that?????
No, I don't think so, despite being proven wrong previously.
Like someone posted before, the only thing that would come close would be to see Mourinho crying like a baby in front of 600 million people after we had shown them what true "Clbutt" is..
No chance of that, because the f***ers are going out against Barcelona. So win or lose, I think this year is going to be a bit of a anti climax.
