Brum GameOnce again Rafa seems to have one eye on the CL game and we start with an un-adventurous team and pay the price. I...
Absolutely. I don't know why we don't use "shock tactics" more often, but it's quite obvious that raising the tempo has its advantage for us. However, that means we need a quick player like Cisse up front, and it also means the midfield has to take chances going forward (particularly with liabilities like Zenden and Garcia up front).
It seemed a definite part of the gameplan to play defensively today. It's either that, or it's our midfield that doesn't have a clue. I would prefer it if it was the first one, because at least that can be changed. ;)
He was craptastic. He JUST doesn't get it that he's supposed to stay WIDE! I noticed Rafa tried explaining things to him during the game, but he's no natural winger, so he keeps drifting towards the middle all the friggin' time.
You can say a lot about Riise, but he's a lot better at keeping his left wing position than Zenden.
He will need to sort his hands out first. He just doesn't know what he's doing when he has to seek out the ball, and, honestly, I'd like to have Dudek back, please. Yes, he f*cks up, too, but once in a while rather than 50% of the time.
