years it is a surprise that we are still in the top flight (and we have gone close to not being). I am sure deep down, most fans from other clubs will admit that Everton have the possibility of becoming a great (ok very good) side again with the backing of such a huge support but this will obvioulsy take time and will only happen if the club is secure, which we are starting to show.
yes it could happen, look at the progress WHU have made.
fully deserved but how we achieved 4th with that squad I do not know?
first off, poor challengers for 4th.... etc
performs (Liverpool 2 seasons ago, Arsenal last year). We can all hope that we can obtain 4th again and just get through the qualifiers because unless we do this, we will always be unseeded and face the likes of Villareal in the qualifiers.
yeah but collina has retired ;-)
and failure and they (unfortunately for us) have managed to put that in their favour. Look at the trophies they have won in the last 5 years.
Time to dump the lumpardI mainly agree. Hargreaves will probably get even better in time and don't dispute that Lampard is not in the form of the past. Problem...
Battered by Arsenal but Owen scores 2 late goals Alaves replacing their best player Birmingham unlucky against them
luck, as they say, is half of everything, well ok, I heard james bond say that once. but there isn't much james bond don't know, funnily enough i never heard him express opinions over football.
they had lost 3-0 against Milan and lost against West Ham, it would be a completely different picture.
i agree, arsenal whimpered into CL obscurity from the final, the difference between winning and losing a final is enormous. however i think people would 1-) be dissolutioning rafa over his cup final tactics but 2-) kind of pleased that he got us to those finals, particularly when seeing off the rivals we did to reach both finals.
happened because we cant do any dealings quietly but think of just the following, all approached by Everton (if you believe reports) last year but quite frequently believed to not be good enough, especially by our loveable neighbours.
yep, not many like bellamy and he still has it all to prove.
i don't know where you get that from, as he was tipped as a great prospect and courted by some of europes big clubs, i was really hoping we'd buy him.
? And a good player, stats mroe than prove his quality, ok yes, discipline somewhat dodgy. good player nonethless as was ferguson, when not injured, for EFC
again, plenty were hoping we'd buy him, see the NG, albeit a little divided on Kuyt, won plenty over on his debut....
clearly not but yes the argument was at the time he was sold that we had seen the best of fowler, arguiably true but still a great player on his day, needs to stay injury free.
not the greatest of examples imho.
