Fernando Morientes has promised Liverpool fans they'll see the best of him in a red shirt this season.
The Spanish striker accepts he hasn't scored the amount of goals he would have liked following his move from Real Madrid in January and admits he has struggled to adapt to life in the Premiership.
The 29 year old is currently recovering from a slight hamstring strain but has vowed to start producing the goods in front of goal as soon as he forces his way back into Rafael Benitez's first team.
"I have not scored as many goals yet as I would have liked but I'm sure that will change," he said.
"Last season was strange because of the Champions League and the fact that I couldn't play in the team. I would be in for the league games at the weekend and then out of the team in midweek because I was cup tied. It was difficult to get into a rhythm.

"I also took longer than expected to adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League. You just don't get any time on the ball at all before someone is on top of you and snapping at your heels.
"It is very different to the way I have played the game before in my career, but I must say I am now adapting to it better and I am really enjoying the challenge.
"I don't think I have ever dodged a challenge anywhere in my career and I will not be doing it here at Liverpool. I believe I have a lot to offer this club. I haven't played to my full level as often as I would have liked but it is coming."
