ITV 2 bosses are cheering this morning on the ratings achieved in the 2nd half of their new hit 'Reality Comedy' show simply called 'Everton in Europe' The cast and producers were hoping this first new series for 15 years would be a 12 parter, but it was announced after last nights episode that due to the cast and crew going on strike in the 2nd part of last nights show, it would now only be a 4 parter. Ratings have been low in the first 3 episodes but soared to 5 million about 8:45 last night when news spread that it was getting funnier and funnier. Lead actor in the show, David Moyes said that although he was disappointed that the series was finishing early, he hoped a 2 part spin off would be broadcast next year called 'Intertoto', but this was likely to only be shown on a minority cable channel. The Executive Producer, Mr Kenwright was less optimistic, he said that due to budget restrains, the next few years could be spent rehearsing, but they maybe back in another 15 years, after a spell being sponsored by coca cola, in their own 22 part show called Championship. Mr Moyes said that he was already in talks over several new role, most notably playing a young Marty Feldman in the upcoming bio-pic 'Look Left, Look Right - At the same time', he was favourite for the part as very little makeup or special effects will be required, as he has a close resemblance to the bog eyed actor who died in 1980, although he has competition for the part from a Mr Houllier. At least there is some good to come out of this, 150 extras left stranded at the airport missed filming the episode and were able to claim all their expenses back. Look out for the DVD of the show, out just after Xmas, entitled '4 days in Autumn' which will be available with a McDonalds Happy Meal for a limited period only!!
