He left childhood club Rosenh¿j BK in 2004, to play for the youth team of Br¿ndby IF. In July 2004 he was moved from the youth squad to the first team, following the departure of Swedish international Andreas Jakobsson. Daniel Agger quickly established himself not only as a first team regular, but as a one of the bearing elements of the team that won the Danish Superliga 2004-05. Despite his young age, he played with great authority under the guidance of Br¿ndby team captain Per Nielsen, and after the first half of the season Agger was named 2004 "talent of the year" by Spillerforeningen (the Danish equivalent of the English PFA). After the successful Superliga 2004-05 season, Agger was called up to the senior Danish national football team for the 1-0 friendly win against Finland on June 2 2005, playing the full match. Agger would see the next national team match from the bench before playing the full 4-1 friendly win on August 17th 2005 over England alongside Per Nielsen, where he caused problems for the English attack, especially Wayne Rooney. Daniel Agger would play full time in the next two matches, before an injury sustained in the Danish Superliga 2004-05 season in September forced him out for the remainder of the year 2005. Only 20 years of age, Daniel Agger was once more awarded the "talent of the year" on December 6th, 2005.

News in the 2006 January transfer window claims that Agger maybe on his way to the FA Premier League, as Liverpool F.C. close in on him.

Simao

Sim‹o Sabrosa (Sim‹o for short) is a midfielder who plays for the Portugal national football team and SL Benfica. He was born on 31 October 1979 in Constantim, Tr‡s-os-Montes. He is a product of Sporting's youth system just like Lu’s Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo but moved to archrivals SL Benfica in 2001 after a brief 1 year pbuttage through FC Barcelona on a 10 million euro deal. He is currently the captain of SL Benfica and considered to be one of the best players currently playing for the club. He is a very quick attacking midfielder-wing forward with a lighting fast dribble and a taste for scoring decisive goals. He is currently being targeted by English Premiership club Liverpool FC. He recently missed the Champions League game against Manchester United through injury. His presence seemingly wasn't missed as Benfica drew out 2-1 winners. This loss sent Manchester United out at the group stage and Benfica through to the second phase for the first time.

Since he arrived to SL Benfica in 2001, he have always ended seasons as the best goalscorer of the squad. He has scored so far 72 goals in 172 matches for Benfica, an extraordinary record for a winger." --
