Fights, flares and little forgiveness
The Guardian, 14 April 2005 Fights, flares and little forgiveness Dominic Fifield at the Stadio delle Alpi...

I know there's nothing more annoying than adults that get uptight about their old kids tv favourites, but hey, nobody's perfect. I don't know if anyone can help, but I was having an argument in the pub about the relative merits of this one thing I used to watch when I was young. I thought I'd see if it was available as part of the whole retroDVD thing, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. There were some guys who nocked about in space in these little red things that could come together and form a big red robot in a kind of transformers styely. Then there was this female baddy who hung out in a kind of spiked armadillo of a battleship. She had an eye patch that was actually an evil little turd of a face. Then there were some weird ball things that all spoke like they were spawn of the RAF, and some other evil cube things that looked like cheap alarm clocks. I know this kind of retroendulging is hateful to others, kind of like hearing about other people's dreams, but does anyone know what this show was called? Thanks.
