Dr Zen has produced a fabulous post - one that delivers on so many levels within the sphere of trolling-idiocy. Let me point out where.

discussion.

Here is a fabulous example of the 'wilful misread'. Look at the way Dr Zen has turned around the sentence so that, where I was calling his behaviour that of a patronising cunt, he is now calling me a cunt that he is patronising. Great play Dr Zen!

It was Bowyer
Owen's unpleasant woman (who is secretly carrying Bowyer's child) drove the getaway car at 150 mph, again. The chairman of Sunderland football club, Bob...

And this is an example of the 'wilful misunderstand'. Look at the way Dr Zen takes my comparison between my comment that my not agreeing with him doesn't mean I don't understand him and then claims utter ignorance and is therefore unable to enter into discussion. Nice one Dr Zen!

Here Dr Zen uses 'grammar baiting' to avoid another part of the discussion. Interestingly he grammar baits on an element of grammar not even used in the post he is responding to. That's superb inventive play Dr Zen!

I'll answer this one properly seeing as it's the only place you wish to continue with a discussion. So dismay is the basis of a tacit contract is it? I'm dismayed about the poor tube service in London. I'll gladly point out to London Underground that this is the basis of a contract in future.

That was your initial argument, yes. You don't seem to have proffered any sort of response to my subsequent counter-arguments though. Of course, that would involve you not continuing your trolling masterclbutt.

Here is an example of 'comedic distraction'. By making an amusing joke about livers Dr Zen attempts to avoid a discussion point that seriously undermines his initial argument. Way to go Dr Zen!

This is the best bit of all. Here Dr Zen uses the method of 'selective snipping' to make a funny joke. Ultimately though Dr Zen has failed on two counts. Any really successful troll would have utilised three other response approaches: 1) The 'typo-bait'. Perhaps I didn't make any typos. This is for next time Dr Zen - Please don't make fun of my tyops Dr Zen!!!!11

2) The 'repetition'. Dr Zen has not responded to my posts with an attempt at a catchphrase. May I suggest that he use something like 'I hear a faint yapping' as made famous by Robert the 'Erbert.

3) The 'post edit'. Where a responder will alter the text of the person they are responding to, so as to make out that that person has made a ridiculous statement.

I feel for you Dr Zen, really I do. I can see that you're trying to get the wondrous approval of the people in your newsgroup (people, I may add, that you will never meet) by trolling me. If trying to do that makes you happy so be it. You carry on.

Tell you what though, there is one person in your group who seems to do usenet well. P, why not come and join UKSF. I think you'd fit in well amongst people with a level of posting ability much more akin to your own. Your far too good for alt.fan.scarecrow. Have a think and let me know.
