Moog
i thought thye were a bunch of bell ends, but some of the music was exciting, most of the punks i knew were f***ing piss artists and revelled(like bell ends) in displaying their lack of intelligence.
i'm not being all high and mighty about it Moog but an intelliegent movement, PUNK was not, or t at least made a f***ing good job of hiding it.

what was that ANARCHY slogan all about Moog??
we still are. this is how poorly thought out your essay is. i agree things have changed for the "better" in some respects but government is rather bland in the current climate. Not all of course, some politicians ARE grbutt roots, it would be hard not to in inner city areas.
yes i think it may have made people less afraid to cower to authority (the PUNK attitude) but there have been more effective cultural and political movements-icons that shaped this country that said a whole lot more than "f*** OFF-don't tell me what to do", punk was rather juvenile and teenage which was all well and good at the time but f***ing embarrbutting if you had reached the age of 21, hence "punks" like Weller and Strummer distanced themselves from "anarchy" as they had something more articulate to say, which is what we wholly prefer in blighty, isn't that right chaps??
can you expand a little more on this. "like punk never happened"...... who have you been listening to? Westlife?
one of the problems with PUNK MUSIC Moog was that there wasn't a great deal of music in there, so for those with a genuine musical bent there ain't a great deal to draw on, say for bands like The Coral. Plus it's only old cunts like yourself that can even remember much about punk, kids today, i guess they need educating about punk to improve the quality of their lives by old mohicans like you. I was 11 in 1977, how old were you then?
do you atcually believe this twaddle(in the cold light of day)??
I'll give you the opportunity to recant it before i fall about laughing.
if not can you give me one example of how "punk" shaped the future of the country? i mean it wasn't those *intelligent* chaps bent on studying, reading and educating themselves at Oxbridge it was a gang of pissheads, necking speed in a pooty flat in Camden wot shaped the future of the country.
was it? --
