What's been missed with this story is the name of the bloke in question which led to the misunderstanding in the first place.
The interview should have been with a gentleman called Guy Kewney. The gentleman who did the actual interview was called Guy Goma, who was there for a job interview and happens to be Black.
QUOTE "After being pointed in Mr Goma's direction by a receptionist, the producer - who had seen a photo of the real expert - checked: "Are you Guy Kewney?" The economics and business studies graduate answered in the affirmative and was whisked up to the studio" UNQUOTE
.......and was probably thinking "who the f*** are you calling "cooney", white trash? "
If I was Black and someone said that to me, misunderstanding or not, I think I would have said something like " that was uncalled for" or "stuff your job ya racist bastard"!

The BBC added "This has turned out to be a genuine misunderstanding."
Yeh, it's a play on words but why the hell else would he have said he was someone he was not ............poor bugger. I hope he got that data support cleanser job he applied for as he truly deserves it.
Funny as f*** though.
