Wright is there as the 'alleged' 1st choice and Martyn was bought as cover, but when Wright got injured (I think he fell out of his loft at home - LOL) Martyn took his place and and has kept it.
TBH I'm probably the only person who thinks a shared stadium is a good idea.
I bet if the new Wembley hadn't gone through and they'd decided to build the national stadium on Merseyside and they'd asked both clubs if they wanted to use it they'd both have been happy to go for it. It's the thought of a 'shared 'stadium no one likes.
Look at Man City, the council built their stadium and then asked them if they wanted to rent it. Instead of spending £30-£50m on a stadium and getting into all kinds of debt they just pay rent. I know it's always better to own rather than rent but to be honest if either club wants to build their own stadium they're gonna need loads of investors so is it their stadium or does it mostly belong to the banks and investors?
the guy shot on the Stockwell tubeTuppence no. they were dressed as father f***ing xmas like Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon. Sorry to be sarcastic. ATM it seems mch detail of this case is beng supressed. However it...
One huge stadium with electronic signing outside that at a flick of a switch will turn the exterior badging from blue to red so no one feels they're stepping foot in another team's ground. 60,000-70,000 capacity and ok maybe it won't be full week in week out, but there are enough 40,000+ sell out games at both grounds each season to say that maybe each club could add 5,000-10,000 on their gate on the games that currently sell out and probably on derby games and against the mancs we'd both sell all 70,000 tickets. Add to that FA Cup semi finals, rock concerts etc etc.
