Yes, I thought it was best if I gave you the necessary tools to advice others of the frustrating times that await them Plus, its very difficult...

Uh, because the OP butterted that boxing was the most demanding sport, then I said that iron man triathalon's were more demanding than boxing and (catch this part) you disagreed with me. What about this is confusing?

I'm surprised you can't see the ridiculous nature of your comparison above. Here, let me reverse it for you. I couldn't enter the annual double-iron man and even finish, but I know how to box. Do you see? You are comparing your ability to ride a bike to boxing a champion. Why not just compare your boxing a 6 year old to racing Lance Armstrong? LOL.

Yes, and the iron man is MORE physically demanding. You continually intermix two disparate facets of a sport: First, the physical demands. Second, the skill demands. I am, and have been, talking exclusively about the physical demands of a sport.

I'm sorry but you're disregarding the ironman as an 'activity' is just ridiculous. I should just trump you with "footballers are greater atheletes than boxers because you can't compare a heavyweight championship to the World Cup final" LOL. Both examples are inappropriate.

No, but this is the part you're misunderstanding. The ironman is just a particular example of a triathalon. The whole point being that at the apex of their 'events' the ironman traithalon is MUCH more physically demanding than a heavyweight boxing match. That doens't mean a heavyweight boxing match could not become a serious test of endurance, but it's rare. Even when one does denigrate into such an endurance test, it doesn't compare to an ironman. You need to realize that the majority of the sport of triathalons is to meet the physical demands, it is not the deciding factor in whether you can be a great boxer or not. Please don't read that as saying "endurance is not important in boxing" because that's absolutely not what I'm saying.

Yes, but it is much easier (speaking from personal experience) to box competitively than to triathalon because of the physical demands. I didn't stop boxing because I could maintain fitness, lol. Boxing is much more skill dependent and triathalons (while requiring skills) are about will and endurance and not much to do with "skill" of the sort buttociated with most sports.

Funny, because my suggestion is perfectly accurate.

How does that change anything? It is time and distance.

Good lord, you don't have much confidence. In boxing there's ALWAYS a chance unless you've absolutely no idea what you're doing. Ask the Klitchko brothers about their little trip to South Africa ;).

Yes, and any bout of boxing is less physically demanding than any actual triathalon (not a 'mini'.)

LOL, my boxing is barely BARELY above that.

OP said boxing is the most demanding sport You compared an IronMan to boxing. I disagreed with your *comparison*. I can also add now, I don't think...

I'm just saying that if I entered a smoker's tournament and fought 3 opponents, I'd be less physically wasted than if I'd competed in any traithalon (even finishing last.)

WTH
