Not saying I agree with this view, but I am bringing this out anyway for discussions sake:
Overheard after yesterday's match 3971At 10:10:25 on 03-10-2005, clings delighted uk.sport.football.clubs.liverpool by announcing: I thought we played some decent football. It's certainly a lot less defensive than...
I overheard a disgruntled Liverpool supporter at the next table watching last night's match ranting that RB = GH (sans Michael Owen). GH had Owen to save his skins, but RB has nobody, which explains the woeful string of results.
Reasons given: 1. Boring boring boring defensive dross.. 2. Tactically clueless - 4-5-1? Puhleese!!! 3. Same long ball tactics: Heskey was the target man whose only role was to "pong" (sic!) the ball onto runners playing off him, ditto Crouch. 3. Stubborn to the core... refusal to see that their tactics are not working; and refusal to heed calls to change tactics. 4. Wrong players in wrong position - Heskey as left winger = Cisse as right winger for instance. 5. Favouritism: With Houllier: Traore, Owen, Heskey, Gerrard, Smicer etc. With Rafa: Traore, Crouch, Garcia, Garcia, Garcia... 6. Rules the club with an iron fist: Players who are not in their good books are given no chance at allConstantly overlooked in favour of players with less abilities. 7. 2nd rated, dodgy signings from home country (league).
Any comments to the above in the light of our results so far in the season?
