Well honestly, if we're not going to cough up what Real wanted, then I can't really blame him for going there. He needs 1st team football for the WC. Reports suggest that if LFC had paid the money, he'd have preferred to join us. As it is, we weren't, so what were his options?

What I meant was that if he comes out and says "Raffa's a twat and those Kopites are knobjockeys, there was no way I wanted to re-sign for that bunch of f***tards" then obviously he's not going to do himself any favours. If, on the other hand he says "well I wanted to re-join LFC but a deal couldn't be done, Newcy showed they really wanted me and I was very impressed with the club. I'm looking forward to doing my best for Newcastle this season" then no harm done.
If he loves it so much he wants to stay, then so be it. I don't hold a grudge. Besides, he is of course a useless sheep sucking Welsh midget after all... at least until this time next year... ;-)
