I thought this deserved a new thread....
I can confirm now that Ted has again thrown up a pooty excuse in order to stall this bet, it's clear he has no intention of going ahead with it and it was a bluff.
His first stall was to insist the bet was carried out by way of a contract written by his 'mate' a barrister. He naturally buttumed I'd reject it, he would then call me a poohouse and the bet would be off. However I then suggested we use the services of an online gambling site. His next stall was that he couldn't find a way to do this in the site recommended by PMD. Again he probably thought that was the end of the bet, but then Simon found a site that would take the bet. His next stall was that he wanted me to provide him with my name and address, something that he knew I wouldn't do. This however was proven as a stall when I quoted from the terms and conditions of the site; he eventually admitted that he didn't need my details.
Just for my amusement..... 1539TED:- Bet you a £1000 Liverpool finish above Everton next year. Bolt:- HOEKAY!! TED:- Lets get a barrister to make up a contract. Bolt:- No, dont trust you. TED:- What about...
Just for my amusement..... 1540On Wed, 22 Jun 2005 22:42:15 +0100, "Jimbo the lucky prophet*" Sure... CONCLUSIVE PROOF THAT TED HAS NO INTENTION OF ENTERING INTO THIS DEBT AND...
Yesterday he said he had been in contact with the website and they told him that if we both deposited £1,000 with them then the bet could begin, all he would have to do is write the terms of the bet and they would then offer the bet in a private offer that only I could accept. I told Ted I'd be depositing £1,000 with the site the following day (today) by way of my bank account, he said he would do the same.
PADRE TED J'ACCUSE! 1534Yes well it's very confusing when they change the names all the time but it's clear what I'm saying isn't it, that I'm paying from my bank account, not by credit card. Thank you for...
Today I told him that I had paid the money and asked him 8 times if he had done the same, check the posts, he has refused to answer every single request! Now he says it is impossible to make that sort of payment without credit card verification. Again this is a bluff because he clearly knows I am not paying with a credit card because I mentioned 'switch' several times, which is a way to make the transaction direct from my bank account.
For those who think 'I'm' bluffing then try this as a test.... go to www.backandlay.com and open an account, it's free and takes seconds, and at the bottom enter £1,000 in the amount section then click submit, don't worry, nothing will be taken from your account because of course they don't have your details yet! You will then get taken to the www.moneybookers.com site, they are the collection company (a bit like Paypal). You will now be asked to register with moneybookers, again you need to give basic details and choose a username and pbuttword.
What happens next is that they give you their bank details and a transaction number, all you have to do next is go to your online bank account and make a payment using the transaction number, if you don't have online banking then it can be done by telephone banking or by letter. I have online banking so it took me seconds. This is the info you get when you follow the above steps:
Just instruct payment to the following bank account and include the reference below: Amount: 1000.00 GBP Account holder: Moneybookers Ltd. Bank: Lloyds TSB City-Town: London Account number: 02645038 Sort Bank Code: 300009 Account currency: GBP Reference: 1297253 Your user ID - MUST BE PROVIDED!
You need to instruct the transfer yourself! We will NOT make a direct debit from your bank account. You have to initiate the transfer to the above account!
Online Banking: Make your payment directly online if you have an Internet banking account with any of the following institutions: Abbey National Bank of Scotland Barclays Bank cahoot Citibank UK Egg First Direct Halifax HSBC Lloyds TSB Nationwide Building Society NatWest Royal Bank of Scotland Salomon Brothers International Limited Scotiabank UK Ltd. Smile the Internet Bank Standard Life Bank Tesco Personal Finance Woolwich Plc. Standard Chartered Bank (CI) Limited
Now of course this doesn't confirm that I've actually made the payment,I know that, but what it does confirm is that Ted is lying! According to him the company have to verify my account in the same way Paypal do by depositing a small amount in my account which I then have to confirm. That is total bollocks, even those of you who know very little about banking will know that if I have someone's bank account number and sort code I can deposit what I want in there, a million quid if I want! How can there possibly be any restriction? I'm paying money into an account, there is never a restriction on that! Once again Ted has been caught out stalling. He obviously doesn't want to do this bet and to be honest I've very close to reaching the point now where I can't be arsed with his poohouse tactics anymore because I really think he's playing me for a fool and has no intentions of going ahead with the bet.
THE BIG BET IT'S ALL OVERCONCLUSIVE PROOF THAT TED HAS NO INTENTION OF ENTERING INTO THIS DEBT AND BASICALLY SHOT HIS MOUTH OFF USING A £1,000 BET BLUFF THAT HE DIDN'T THINK...
Now I know that you all side with him cos he's a red and I'm a blue and I come in here a lot to wind you up, but follow the steps above and see if I am lying or Ted. Remember Ted says it's impossible to pay £1,000, and that's his excuse for not doing it, I say you can do it by bank transfer & I've done it! All I had to do was follow their simple instructions.
Now Ted, you've been exposed as a stalling, lying cunt! Admit once and for all that you don't want to go ahead with this and you are stalling like f*** - you lame poohouse rat!
