Yes, but, you know, at least he HAD a couple of sitters! How many has...

Steve Hunter 15 October 2005 Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry says he is so proud of the Reds youngsters who represented the club in a poignant friendly game in Italy to remember the 39 victims of the 1985 Heysel Stadium disaster. In the town of Arezzo, near Florence, Liverpool and Juventus came together once again to share their sorror 20 years after the events in Brussels.

Juventus beat a young Liverpool team 2-1 in what was a very emotional occasion and the Reds chief executive was with the reserves squad in Italy.

Parry said: "It was a very moving few days for everyone concerned, and the way the boys understood and reacted to the spirit of the occasion is a credit to them.

"As well as playing the match, we toured the city and we were invited to a gala dinner. On the morning of the game we attended a church service held in honour of the Heysel victims, at which our players wore t-shirts with the slogan 'memoria e amicizia' (in memory and friendship).

"The game was secondary really, and at one point we even discussed mixing the players of both sides. The youngsters conducted themselves very well and proved to be great ambbuttadors for the club. We're extremely proud of the way they handled themselves."
